1. Data Processing Scope (Data Minimization)
HeatDex adheres strictly to data minimization principles, capturing only aggregate metadata necessary for heat calculation, never storing private messages or user personal information:
- Discord Guild ID: Used for tenant isolation and server-specific configuration.
- Channel ID: Used to measure channel message velocity and topic distribution.
- De-identified aggregate counters: Rolling message count per minute, reaction frequencies, and trending keyword frequency hashes.
2. Purpose of Processing
Aggregated metrics are processed solely to compute the 0-100°C heat index, render internal topic radars, and deliver configured surge alerts. We do not profile individual users or sell data to third parties.
3. Edge Security & Tenant Isolation
Data streams through secure Cloudflare edge workers with strict memory-level tenant isolation, protected under modern TLS encryption in transit.
4. Retention & Deletion Rights
Activity metrics are retained within rolling time windows and expire automatically. Server administrators may request complete historical purge at any time.
